1ST BARTON ST. DAVID B-P SCOUTS' GROUP We are a traditional Scout Group formed in 1994 serving the community around Barton St David. Baden Powell Scouts still follow the ten original Scout Laws and wear the traditional uniform. We are also members of the World Federation of Independent Scouts. We currently have over 50 members in three sections.
- Wolf Cubs (ages 7 - 11) Mondays 6.00 - 7.30
- Beavers (ages 5 - 7) Tuesdays 5.00 - 6.00
- Scouts (ages 11+) Tuesdays 7.30 - 9.00
All children participate in regular meetings and two church parades each year. Beaver and Wolf cubs enjoy joint activities and days out, previous years we went to Crealey and Longleat. The annual birthday camp takes place at Huish Woods and is for all sections. The older members of the group have visited Russia, Ireland, Germany, Denmark and Switzerland.
